Hand Thrown Stoneware Pottery Bird House Volcano Blue

   A beautiful way to house your neighbors. This bird house was completely thrown on the potter's wheel in two separate sections (Lid and Base) and then high fire glazed in AVIOR'S (my) exclusive volcano blue glaze combination. This bird house is made of only the highest quality clays and glazes to ensure a safe, strong home for our bird friends. Great attention is given to every detail: such as easy lift top lid cleaning, drain hole on the bottom, and an entry hole specifically sized for many smaller birds such as the wren. A perch is specifically left off to prevent any threat from larger predatory birds. The whole piece is firmly held together by heavy leather cording and wooden beads to ensure a strong secure hold.

   The Volcano Blue glaze combination has an earth toned deep bluish grey body, overflowed by a dripping rim of deep iridescent color. This glaze combination takes a simple shade and gives it incredible depth through a pouring crystalline boarder of indescribable shades.
